Stuart Hancock is an award-winning British composer of music for film, TV, theatre and the concert hall. The two works by Stuart on the programme include his Variations on a Heroic Theme and the concert premiere of his orchestral suite, Raptures. The concert also includes Ottorino Respighi’s charming set of miniatures, Gli Uccelli (The Bords).
